Welcome to
Tap Room: a part of a brewery where beer served from a tap can be tasted”. Doesn’t that make it sound all so boring? A Tap Room should be so much more than that. Since our first tiny Beer Shop & Tap Room opened, at our old location in Sixpenny village in 2010, we’ve become the focus for both locals and visitors from far and wide, seeking fine traditional beer in a great location.
Our first Tap was just 8 feet square, with room for about 17 people (at a tight squeeze!), and attracted national attention as probably the smallest pub in the land. Whilst the current venue is much larger, we believe we’ve kept the fun, quirky atmosphere and, of course, the great ale that is our signature. Converted from an old derelict Victorian stable block in 2016, the new Tap retains the snug local feel of the original, whilst offering more seating, a cosy log fire in winter and air conditioning in summer.
We offer a range of soft drinks, coffee, cider, wine, local gin and snacks, plus, naturally, our own range of ales to drink here or take away. We also have plenty of parking on site, and a lovely sun-trap of a courtyard with outdoor seating. Well behaved children are always welcome at the Tap. Dogs are allowed, but should be on leads.
We do hold special events at the Tap, often with live music and hot food, usually several times a year, and details of these will be posted on our News Page and through social media.
Please note: whilst we endeavour to always have our full range of beers available, due to varying demands we cannot guarantee 100% availability.
